Wellputt putting mat and practice

The Wellputt putting mat gives you the freedom to putt at home everyday if you want and tune your game so you are ready for the course.

I have a tripod with my phone running Blast Motion Golf at one end of the mat gathering my putting data. I usually practice 3 ft, 6 ft and 10 ft putts everyday.

The mat is 13 ft long, but the putting area is actually 10 ft approximately in both directions. I’ve checked the stimp with a true roller and it has a stimp rating of 11. ★★★★★

It comes with suggested putting practice routines. See Wellputt putting mats

Key features on the mat

It’s easy to line up putts with the mat. There are start lines that help you find your aim point from the left, center and right.

A key feature on the lines that I like is the approximate backstroke and forward stroke from each location on the mat. Those stroke indicators really help and make a difference in your game.

One thing that you may want to consider is an extended aim lime. You could do that with two glasses and a string or with a laser. I use a laser from Wright Putting Dynamics to extend the start line to an aim point.

There are also circles that you put your ball in at each distance. Standing over the putt, you can tell whether or not your head is in the correct place. If you can see the circle and not all ball, you probably need to move your head closer or farther away from the ball.

Cleaning

The mat can get full of minor debris just from walking back and forth next to it. Inevitably, someone walks on it. Like me.

To clean the putting mat use a vacuum from the “Good Zone” end toward the Wellputt.com logo at the other end. The source for this is from their customer service.
