My golf accessories have been updated and upgraded for 2024. The goal was to lighten things up. Without the clubs, I can lift the new bag and contents with one hand. Let’s take a look.
It’s going to look like I take a lot of stuff along and I do.
However, even with the clubs, the new bag is much lighter.
The color theme here is blue and white. Just a change from straight up black.
Golf Accessories – Golf Bag
I went with a Callaway bag because it’s a lot lighter and matches the wood headcovers, etc.
It’s an ORG 14 cart bag. It has 14 padded club dividers.
There are 3 zippered pockets on each side and 3 on the front. There is a pass through loop on the front to accommodate a cart strap.
It would be great for a push or pull cart also.
The one thing that I’m not crazy about is that it only has one ring on the outside.
Newer versions have a second ring on the the outside.
I liked the color of the one I bought…So…..
A large D-ring will work on the side that doesn’t have a accessories ring..
I want to hang me glove dryer / tee case / ball marker case on the outside.
I have a couple towels and club cleaning stuff on the existing ring.
Note: This is pretty much everything I listed in the 2023 article here only there are some really nice upgrades for 2024.
Golf Accessories – External
- Callaway ball retriever
- Golf umbrella
- Two alignment rods with Craftsman
white leather cover - Black towel (club cleaner)
- (Upgrade) Blue towel (Mile High kit)
Club cleaning brush and divot tool
(Divot tool not shown or used) - (Upgrade) UDPARSCO golf club cleaner
Spray bottle with brush and D-ring - (Upgrade) Callaway white and water resistant iron covers
Golf Accessories – Internal
This is all stuff I keep in the golf bag pockets.
The one exception is the glove drying case that hold tees and ball markers. My intention is to hang that on the bag.
- (NEW) “Pack All” bag – its a zippered bag with netting on the sides so you can see what’s in it. What I like about this is that all this stuff ends up in one bag instead of being loose.
I keep a bunch of extra tees in it, a bag with a couple bucks and change, two alignment rod connectors to make a “T” for driving range alignment, a small bag with assorted stuff like a glasses strap, Sharpie, etc., and a small bag with ear plugs for the range if it’s distracting. - (NEW) I know this is a golf geek thing, but I wanted one. Kestrel 1000 pocket wind meter / Digital Anemometer.
- (NEW) Pride Professional 3 1/4 inch golf tees
Needed with new driver - Short tees – for par 3’s
- Go For It – Glove case and shaper which also holds tees, ball markers and divot tools. (Will be external)
- Foot Joy StaSof Golf Gloves (Extra gloves)
- BreakMaster by Exelys – for measuring break. I rarely use it during rounds. It’s mostly for pre-round warm up. However, if I make a really bad read, I will get it out to find the correct read.
- Eyeline target holes – for pre-round warm up. I don’t like putting to a hole. I like to see how far past the hole the ball rolls.
- One can koozie
- Two large Crown Royal bags – One for range balls prior to a round and one for personal items.
- 3 golf balls for warm up putting before the round
- Glasses wipes
- Kleenex
- Extra D ring
- Extra battery for my Shot Scope Pro L2 range finder.
Other Accessories
I’m going to include info on a Gorilla Grip bag I just bought and one Drive trunk organizer that I currently use.
The new one is the blue one in the photo. It will work well for cart sharing.
The basket behind the seats will work for a place to put it or the strap could hook onto the seat.
It’s about the size of a 12 pack of cans and would have room for food above that. It’s like a picnic cooler.
The other one is a trunk organizer I use all the time…. on the floor of a golf cart. Why?
Putting one on the seat isn’t a good idea. It goes flying out all the time if you aren’t careful. On the floor, it just fits snug.
What other stuff do I bring along?
- Spray bottle with water to clean clubs or golf balls
- Towels (not shown)
- Sunscreen
- Avon Skin-so-Soft Bug Guard Plus Picaridin
with Vitamin E and Aloe
(Good for mosquitos, ticks, no-see-ums) - Hand sanitizer
- Small soft sided red cooler (water or Gatorade)
- Clip on sunglasses
- Shot Scope Pro L2 range finder
- Green Maps 8 1/2 x 11
- Scorecard Holder for Hole Maps / Green Maps
(Back pocket item) - A dozen golf balls in a large Royal Crown bag
